# Payroll System Reconciliation

## Historical Edits

### Make changes in flaik and Payroll System

Once the Payroll Export file has been extracted from flaik and uploaded (by FTP or manually) to your payroll system, any changes made in either **flaik** or the **Payroll System** would need to be made in both systems so that the pay the instructor sees in flaik and the pay the instructor sees or their pay check (before payroll system additions and subtractions) are consistent.

flaik does not export or send incremental changes to past dates to any payroll systems.

### Re-Exporting Payroll

Note that any changes in flaik to either instructor pay on past dates in Timekeeping or on Paid Activity and Incentive configuration, would be reflected if the payroll export file is re-exported for a past date.

### Audit / Financial Record of Data Sent

flaik does not contain a historical record or snapshot of payroll data sent. If you wish to keep a snapshot of exactly what was sent on a date please archive a copy of the export file on your FTP site for your records. Any changes in the system after export will be reflected in subsequent exports.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://knowledgebase.flaik.com/flaik-knowledge-base/archive/payroll-system-reconciliation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
