## Generate & Approve  (Pay Bumps) Metric Rules

### **1 | Generate New Metric Rules**

To Calculate or Re-Calculate staff Incentives click the <mark style="color:blue;">**Calc. metric rules**</mark> link

This will pick up any new metrics that were hit since the Metrics were last calculated. &#x20;

**It is recommended this Calculation job be triggered at the end of each day, once all timesheets are finaliased, to be applied to the next day's timesheets.**&#x20;

**Note:**&#x20;

1. You can only do it once every 5 minutes
2. You can not approve incentives for the same day, they can be applied to the following day or other future dates
3. Auto Approval of Incentives is expected in a future release
4. You may Approve and Un-Approve Incentives as many times as necessary. Finalized timesheets will not be impacted unless they are regenerated.&#x20;

### **2 | Approve Metric Rules**

Once generated by the metric calculation new incentives will need to be approved. Select the lines you wish to approve and Hit the <mark style="color:blue;">**Approve metric rule**</mark>. Choose an **Effective Date** of the next day (unless you have other non-standard requirements to defer to the end of the pay period). You may also <mark style="color:blue;">**Reject metric rule**</mark>
