Instructions for Swapping SIMs on Zebra TC7x Devices
Please follow the instructions to swap the SIMs out on your devices so we can ensure proper cellular connectivity going into the 2024/25 season!
Power off - Press and hold the Power button until the menu appears, then touch Power off and OK.
Remove the top clip of the hand strap - Press up on the clip that holds the hand strap in place until it clicks off:

Remove the battery - Press the two battery latches in, then lift the battery from the device:

Check the access door for a security screw - Some devices come equipped with a security screw. If the access door includes this screw, use the tool included in the bag to unscrew and set the screw in a safe place for when you re-assemble:

Open the access door - Lift the access door utilizing the small rubber flap at the top of the door:

Slide the SIM card cage open - Put pressure on the silver cage surrounding the SIM card and slide it up towards the top of the device. This unlocks the cage, and you can now freely open it to remove the SIM:

Remove the old SIM card - Remove the nano SIM card from the holder:

Please save old SIM cards to be mailed back to flaik.
Insert the new SIM card - Ensure you have the correct SIM card for the correct device (FS-ID number listed on card), and pop the SIM card out of the larger shipment card. Place the nano SIM card into the same card holder ("SIM 1") with the contacts facing down:

Reverse Steps - Lock the SIM card cage by sliding it back down towards the bottom of the device, replace the access door, replace the security screw (if applicable), reinsert the battery, reattach the hand strap, and power the device back on.
Ensure the devices is connected to WIFI and left on power for flaik to perform the second part of the process (remote control access required).
Please notify Kelly ([email protected]) and Nathan ([email protected]) when complete so we can remote into the device(s) and complete the process for cellular connectivity with the new SIMs.
