# RTP Instructor Activities and flaik Shifts & Tasks

Tips for ensuring your Instructor Activities in RTP and your flaik Shifts & Tasks are set up correctly

### Overview

* Although flaik differentiates between Shifts & Tasks, RTP Instructor Activities do not. In RTP, it is simply an Instructor Activity, regardless of what designation it has in flaik.
* There should be a corresponding RTP Instructor Activity for each flaik Shift & Task so that they can be mapped between systems.
* The mapping between systems occurs in flaik.

  * Multiple flaik Shifts or Tasks can be mapped to the same Instructor Activity
  * An individual Shift or Task cannot be mapped to multiple Instructor Activities

  (eg when filling in the *POS Activity* drop down in flaik, only one Instructor Activity can be selected)

### Further Information

* **Short Description** - generally not relevant if handling scheduling and payroll in flaik
* **Backfill Activity** - this must be checked to be listed in the 'Backfill Activity' drop down
* **Allow Override** - if checked, the instructor can be moved from the activity when searched for by name in One|Resort when selling a private (which most resorts generally don't want)
* **Instructor Activity Display** - sets the color of the activity on the RTP schedule, which is only relevant if viewing schedules in RTP. Recommendation is to match the colors used in flaik.
* **Pay Calculations** - Even if instructor pay will be handled in flaik, it is recommended to add an entry into Pay Calculations for each Instructor Activity. Doing so adds functionality and a higher level of detail in PLIA.
