Direct API Connections

With a direct API connection, flaik talks to your POS vendor's cloud API directly. Compared with the resort-hosted POS Integration API:

• Nothing to install or host — no Windows service, no MSI, no server at the resort.

• Nothing to upgrade — flaik maintains the connection centrally; new capability arrives without resort IT involvement.

• No inbound firewall exposure — no port to open; traffic is outbound from flaik to the vendor's API.

What setup involves

1. Your resort (or division) authorises flaik with the POS vendor — typically API credentials or an OAuth application grant.

2. flaik configures and verifies the connection centrally.

3. flaik confirms product/sales data is flowing and schedules go-live with you.

There is no software for resort IT to maintain.
