# PSIA

## PSIA Integration

flaik integrates directly with **PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America)** as a POS provider. The connection is cloud-to-cloud — nothing is installed or hosted by the division.

### How it works

PSIA operates on **Events** (group lessons and clinics) rather than traditional POS products. flaik converts PSIA Events into flaik products and sales automatically:

* Disciplines and divisions sync from PSIA's education data.
* Events are mapped to flaik products; registrations flow through as sales.
* Scheduling data is then available in flaik as for any other resort.

### Setup

Setup is coordinated by flaik directly with the PSIA IT team. The division authorises flaik's access to the PSIA API; flaik configures and verifies the connection centrally.

### Status

Live in production. Currently serving the Rocky Mountain Division; designed to support all PSIA divisions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://knowledgebase.flaik.com/flaik-knowledge-base/for-it-specialists/pos-integration-how-flaik-connects-to-your-pos/direct-api/psia.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
