Version 2.6.0

Release date: TBC (2026) Upgrading from 2.5.11: see HOW TO: Upgrade the flaik Resort API to 2.6.0 — this release changes the installer and install path, so the upgrade is a short capture-and-reconfigure rather than an in-place update.

New installer

  • 2.6.0 ships a rebuilt MSI installer. New default install path: C:\Program Files\Flaik\Flaik POS Integration API\.

  • The install wizard now asks for your POS software type and a site identifier, and writes them into the configuration for you.

  • No .NET runtime prerequisite — the service is fully self-contained.

  • From 2.6.0 onward, your configuration files survive upgrades and uninstalls: future updates are in-place with no re-entry of connection strings or keys.

  • SQL migration scripts are installed to the SQL subfolder of the install directory, organised per POS provider.

Performance

  • Improved response times for the Employee Upsert endpoint.

  • Resort configuration data is now cached locally, significantly reducing the number of calls made to the POS database on each request. Configuration refreshes automatically every 24 hours.

Diagnostics

  • Error reports now include the resort installation identifier and POS provider, making it faster for flaik to trace issues to a specific install.

  • The health check (/health) now reports the installed POS application version inside the provider configuration section.

RTP One — Sale modifiers

  • Sale responses from RTP One now include prompt answers (e.g. ability level, discipline) inside the saleModifiers array. Each prompt entry identifies the question (PromptName attribute) and the answer (itemCode). Applies to date-range, product, and order sale endpoints.

RTP One — Inventory management

  • New endpoints for managing RTP One inventory pool locations by date on /api/inventory/InventoryDetails: list/read (GET), create (POST), update (PUT) and delete (DELETE). You can set warning and maximum levels, a hard ceiling, override security, and auto-assign rollover per pool location and date. The GET supports optional inventoryPoolLocationCode, inventoryPoolCode, startDate and endDate filters.

RTP One — Private sale changes endpoint

  • New endpoint GET /api/ResortSale/privateSaleChanges?sinceDate=yyyy-MM-dd returns the list of Order IDs and Transaction IDs for private lesson sales that have changed since a specified date. Enables efficient incremental syncing without polling the full sale history.

RTP One — Session token refresh

  • New endpoint POST /api/ResortConfiguration/RefreshPOSAuthentication re-establishes the RTP One session token while the service is running. If the token goes missing or stale, flaik or a site administrator can refresh it without restarting the service — the endpoint checks the current token first and only re-authenticates if it needs to.

RTP One — Customer identifier lookup

  • New endpoint GET /api/person/customerIdentifierData returns a customer's not-yet-loaded access codes for a given IPCode, as a list of type/value pairs. This is backed by a new stored procedure, so run the updated RTP One SQL scripts as part of the upgrade.

  • New capability to look up a Siriusware instructor

Fixes

  • Corrected instructor-schedule batch polling so lookups for a specific batch return that batch rather than the top-priority unprocessed one.

  • Fixed the instructor-schedule throttle, which was being applied in milliseconds instead of seconds — a configured delay of a few seconds was effectively skipped, adding avoidable load on the flaik database. The delay is now honoured in seconds (and capped at a sensible maximum).

  • Refunded sales are now excluded from the sales data returned to flaik, so refunds no longer inflate reported sales totals. (RTP One — run the updated SQL scripts.)

  • The resort configuration Genders endpoint now returns correctly for resorts that have genders configured (it previously returned an error). Gender entries are returned with PosGenderCode and PosGenderValue.

  • Instructor updates no longer lose data (RTP One). Previously, sending a partial instructor update — or a deactivation — could silently overwrite the fields you did not include with defaults, so an employment type, supervisor, rank or lesson location could be lost or rejected. Updates now keep any field you do not send, and a deactivation needs only the instructor's identifier and status.

Database

  • flaik database version updated to 2.6.0.0 (run the bundled SQL scripts as part of the upgrade).

  • The setup scripts now support two ways of connecting the service to SQL Server. Before running each script, choose your connection method by setting the @SQlAuthenticationType value at the top:

    • 1SQL Authentication. The script creates or updates a dedicated FlaikId SQL login for the service to use.

    • 2Integrated Security / Managed Service Account. No SQL login is created; the service connects using a Managed Service Account that you provision in Active Directory (set its name in @SQLUser).

    • The script stops with an error if this value is left unset, so choose 1 or 2 before running it.
