Converting a Guest to an Instructor

Occasionally, you may run into a situation where an instructor appears as a guest in a class, rather than as an instructor. Should this occur, Class Management includes a quick way to convert a guest into an instructor.

To begin, open a day in Class Management where you have found an instructor as a guest. In the example above, the instructor Terry McTeach appears as a guest in a class on July 1st, 2022.

Next, without making any selections, click on the "Convert guest to instr..." button to the right.

When the modal window appears, enter the name of the guest that you would like to convert to an instructor. Once you find and select the correct name, flaik will auto-fill the next field with the correct instructor, so long as you have an active profile in Staff Management with the same name.

Once you have verified that the guest profile and the instructor profile you have selected are a match, click the "Convert guest to inst." button. As described in the modal, this will perform the following actions:

• All instances of this guest profile in the current season will be converted to the instructor profile you chose.

• All future scans for this guest profile will automatically appear as this instructor profile. The lift pass that was scanned will now appear in the instructor's profile.

Once the action is complete, open one of the classes where the instructor was scanned in as a guest to confirm that they are now the instructor of the class.
