Instructor Metrics Guide
A tab with Instructor Metrics is provided for each instructor during the flaik Evaluation process.
These metrics are calculated using data from the current season. You'll find a description of how each metric is compiled below. A snapshot of the instructor's metrics is taken on the start date of the Evaluation process.
All shifts, tasks, training, class and guest totals occurring after the start date are not included in the metrics found within Evaluations.
Evaluation process start date
On the start date selected for the Evaluation Process, a snapshot of every instructor's metrics will be taken for evaluation purposes. Snapshotting these statistics on the start date ensures that as you go through the evaluation process, employees evaluated at a later date do not have the performance advantage of more days worked.
Performance Tier Calculations
The performance tier metrics are based on all staff data, calculated on the eval processes start date.
Green performance tiers - indicate good results.
eg a green 20%: that metric is based on the instructor being in the top 20% of all staff for that criteria.
Red performance tiers - indicate poor results
eg a red 20%: that means the instructor is in the bottom 20% of all instructors for that criteria.
Scheduling - Shifts
Total On Shifts/ Total On Shift Hours
The Total On Shift metrics count the total number of shifts and hours assigned to an instructor in Scheduling > Shifts. flaik Off Shifts and RDO days do not count toward this metric.
All created shift types assigned to an instructor are included.
Total Off Shifts/Total Off Shift Hours
The Total Off Shift metrics count the total number of flaik off shifts and hours assigned to an instructor in Scheduling > Shifts.
All off shift types are included.
Scheduling - Tasks
Scheduling Task Metric Combinations
There are several options that combine the number of tasks and task hours in each category or combination of categories found on an instructor's schedule in Scheduling > Tasks:
Total Teaching tasks (Group/Program/Private) and Total Teaching Task hours - combines the Group, Program, Private Assigned and Private Request tasks and task hours.
Total Teaching Group tasks/hours - shows the total Group type tasks and task hours.
Total Teaching Program tasks/hours - shows the total Program type tasks and task hours.
Total Assigned Private tasks/hours - shows the total Assigned Private tasks and task hours.
Total Request Private tasks/hours - shows the total Request Private tasks and task hours.
Total Non Teaching tasks/hours - shows the total Non Teaching tasks and task hours.
Total Hold/Block tasks/hours - shows the total Hold/Block tasks and task hours.
Training
Training Metric Options based off Training Clinics found in Training > Clinics
Total registered - Total number of training clinics the instructor registered for.
Total attended - Total number of training clinics the instructor attended.
Total no show - Total number of training clinics the instructor signed up for but didn't attend.
Total training attended hours - Total training clinic hours.
Total trainer hours - Total hours an instructor taught a training clinic.
Class Management
Class Management metrics from the Class Management > Teaching Task > Class
Total classes taught - counts all classes taught by the instructor.
Each class can have multiple instructors.
Missed scans and unassociated instructors affect this metric.
Total guests taught - Combines all guests in classes taught by the instructor.
Additional guests included only in lesson notes, missed scans, and unassociated instructors affect this metric.
Average guest feedback score - the average score out of 10 (number of responses in blue brackets)
NPS - the number of responses between 9-10 (promoters) minus the number of responses between 0-6 (detractors) divided by the total number of responses (in blue brackets) multiplied by 100.
Average class size - calculates the average number of guests in classes taught by the instructor.
Additional guests included only in lesson notes, missed scans, and unassociated instructors affect this metric.
Most taught class - identifies the Class Type most frequently taught by the instructor in Class Management.
The total number of guests taught in the Most Taught Class Type for that instructor is shown in blue brackets.
