## Transport to Whistler

Whistler is approximately a 2-hour drive from YVR (Vancouver International Airport), a 3-hour drive from BLI (Bellingham International Airport), or a 5-hour drive from SEA (Seattle-Tacoma International Airport).

Out of Vancouver, you'll travel along the iconic Sea to Sky Highway, one of the world's most scenic drives, [check it out here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_DoZtfYRVI).  Whether driving or taking a shuttle, this journey offers breathtaking views of Howe Sound and the surrounding mountains.  If flying into YVR, here are some recommended ways to get to Whistler-

* CAR RENTAL: While a car is not necessary once in Whistler, it can be the economical choice for groups of two or more. Travel in September, during the low season, typically allows for smooth traffic conditions.

  * [Turo](https://turo.com/) - Recommended for electric or hybrid options.  Rent directly from an individual owner.
* [SHUTTLES](https://www.whistler.com/getting-here/road/shuttle/): Shuttles are a convenient way to sit back and relax and enjoy the ride through Vancouver and the incredible scenery of Howe Sounds.
  * [Ride Booker](https://www.ridebooker.com/) (Recommended To Whistler) Although more expensive, Ride Booker offers the convenience of timing the shuttle with your flight arrival, ensuring a seamless transfer to Whistler.
  * [SkyLynx](https://yvrskylynx.com/) (Recommended to the airport) Shuttle service schedules may vary in the off-season. If you land in Vancouver late in the evening, shuttle options may be limited, so planning ahead is crucial.

**PLEASE NOTE:** Shuttle times are limited in the off-season so if you arrive late in the evening they may not be an option.&#x20;
