Set up your new season

Creating your upcoming season in flaik is the first step in a two-part process to get prepared for your next busy season. This banner will prompt your account holder three months prior to your season end date. Don't worry, you will still have full access to your current season after you complete this first step.

Upcoming Season Setup

You are nearing the end of your season and starting to think to the next. In this article, we will cover how to set up your new season so the flaik users at your resort will have access to the upcoming season.

Three months before the season ends, a blue banner will appear on the screen of your resort’s designated account holder.

This blue banner will appear for the account holder 3 months before the end of the current season.

Click the Set up my season button and you will be led through a review of your resort’s flaik configuration and asked to edit as needed.

The clickthrough is divided into 4 simple steps:

Throughout this process, you can click Cancel at any point. This will return you back to flaik without creating a new season.

1. The basic details

This first page will allow you to edit your resort name, address, season start and end date as well as the nominated flaik support contact. The support contact will be the point-person at your resort for instructors and other staff who have questions about flaik.

Usable date ranges

For your season's start and end date, you will have a specific range of dates you can select based on your resort's location (Northern or Southern Hemisphere) and the type of operations you will be running (winter or summer). Here's a breakdown of the date ranges available:

Winter

Summer

Northern Hemisphere

July 1st to June 30th

January 1st to December 31st

Southern Hemisphere

January 1st to December 31st

July 1st to June 30th

Seasons are limited to a maximum of 12 months in duration, so we will provide a range of dates that are the most relevant for your operation.

2. Employment types

Here you can update your Employment Types. Employment types relate to the level of commitment a certain staff member is making to your resort. These will be used through Hiring, Availability, and Staff Management.

3. Job titles

Edit your job titles in this section. Add or remove job titles based on the changes you have made. Job titles are linked to staff profiles, job postings, and availability. Pro tip: keep the number down and it will be easier to sort later.

4. Staff groups

The final step is to edit your staff groups. Staff Groups are a way of grouping instructors together throughout flaik so that you can easily filter for them. You can have as many staff groups as you like and an instructor can belong to as many groups as needed.

5. Submit

That’s it! Click Submit, and your upcoming season will now be accessible.

You can switch to the upcoming season by using the season selector.
