# An Overview of Class Management

The updated Class Management should feel familiar as it uses the same concepts that we've employed for staff management. To get started, you can navigate to Class Management by clicking on the ![](https://3412627069-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fdh5JD0cdH4KWbjolN2Aa%2Fuploads%2FwZQgrP0889rP9XO2sNZq%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=0b0c79ca-8ac0-41de-9d5d-2290a45e1c47) location symbol in the left-hand menu.&#x20;

In this article we will explain:

* **An overview of class management**
  * **List of Classes**
  * **Display Options**
  * **Filter Options**
  * **Sort Options**
  * **Search Options**
  * **Important Guest Data**

**Class Management Overview**

**List of Classes**<br>

First off you'll see a list of all classes, listed by Instructor (sorted by last name). The class type, start time, level and number of guests appear to the right of the instructors name.

You have the option of seeing the class list associated with an instructor without having to jump into the actual class card. To do this, simply hover your mouse over the word Class List on the right hand side.&#x20;

**Display Options**

You have the ability to choose what columns you would like to have visible in your Class Management display. To choose this, click on the gear icon at the top right of the list of classes. Class Name will always be displayed, but you can choose the 4 subsequent columns that you prefer.&#x20;

**Filter Options**

Like in other parts of flaik, there is an option in the upper left to Filter. Select from the options to narrow down the list of classes displayed on your screen.&#x20;

1. Class name
2. Teaching task
3. Start time
4. Ability level
5. Number of guests

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://knowledgebase.flaik.com/flaik-knowledge-base/for-sups-managers/class-management/an-overview-of-class-management.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
