Lesson Decrement feature

Overview

RTP has robust Access control features for resorts to implement. This can be leveraged by your resort to record guest usage of Lesson Products.

Enabling this feature in flaik allows flaik to send 'scans' back to your RTP instance and have usage recorded in the customers 'Access Profile'. This give you and your Guest service team data within Customer Manager to confirm that a guest has in fact taken a lesson - without needing to go into flaik and search for the guest in class management.

Setting up Lesson Decrement feature

At a high level to utilize this feature you will need to setup a specific Access location for Ski and Ride products. You will also need to set up access rules and access components on each of the lesson products that you wish to have use the feature.

Once done - pass the Access Location code to you flaik Account Manager and we will enable it. That's really all that is required to get the additional information back into RTP for your frontline team and enable them to operate out of the one system.

Logic to determine Guest

We use the following logic for Guests allocated to Classes to determine which Pass media to pass back to RTP to trigger this lesson usage scan.

We do this scan 30 minutes after the start of each lesson.

  1. If the student was scanned in, use that lift pass

  2. If no, use the lift pass on the guest profile

  3. If that doesn't exist, reach out and get the lift pass via the person fetch
