RTP Security Recommendations

For resorts using flaik we recommend making the following changes in RTP Security. These changes may need to be handled by IT staff, depending on user permissions.

Instructor Tools

The system default view of Instructor Tools is for five options:

• Instructor Scheduling

• Instructor Messaging

• Pooled Inventory

• Instructor Training

• Private Lesson Instructor Assignment

Of these five options, Pooled Inventory is the only option still required for resorts handling instructor scheduling, payroll, and training in flaik. To avoid any potential issues from users scheduling instructors in RTP instead of flaik, the best solution is to modify RTP user security.

Security Permissions

It is advised that for any resort using RTP & flaik that a system adminstrator modify security for other security groups to remove unneeded access in Instructor Tools.

The only access needed in the Instructor Tools subsection is for 'Pool Inventory'. Some resorts may choose to also add read only access for Instructor Scheduling (Read Only to allow schedules to be seen in RTP but not updated, to prevent any schedule changes occurring in RTP instead of in flaik).

Access Rights

For the Pool Inventory permission, there are two options for Access Rights

• 'Modify Inventory Pool Properties' - allows users to change the Maximum Level and other settings in an inventory pool

• 'Pooled Inventory' - can view inventory in Instructor Tools
