Tasks Setup

Step-by-step

Tasks setup is located in Admin Settings -> Product Settings -> Global Product Settings -> Tasks

To get started, click the blue Edit button.

Then click on the down arrow in the Scheduling/Inventory Area category that contains the task that you wish to add or modify.

You'll then see a full list of the tasks associated with this category. To modify an existing task, click on the down arrow at the right side of the product.

You'll then have access to modify the settings for this task. You can update any of the fields (other than Task Type) such as Description, Start & End times, Discipline, etc.

Please note: the Task Type cannot be modified after initial creation

You will also have the ability to Sync with POS and connect a POS activity by searching for the related activity in your Point of Sale system.

Task Types

There are five options of Task Type when creating a new Task

  • Hold/Block - unpaid hours, such as for holding an instructor for an impending private request booking.

  • Non-Teaching - to schedule staff for other paid work duties, such as sign in, meet & greet, fencing, shoveling, etc. Paid tasks don't count towards Teaching Hours calculations.

  • Private Lesson

  • Program - for multi-week programs. Allows program dates to be added, which has multiple benefits.

  • Group Lesson

Locations

These location fields are useful if a task has options for where it meets, ends, and/or have indoor breaks.

Deleting Tasks

Tasks can only be deleted before they're used in a season. After creating a new season it is possible to make any revisions to Tasks that are needed.

Before a task can be deleted, it needs to be unmapped first
