Action Types

Note: "Add Class" will create and submit a new Class to Class Management based on the provided details.

Add Class -

Pass Only

Create a class and scan everyone's passes (instructor and students)

Description: This action type will allow the user to create and submit a new class to Class Management which will require the capture of the Instructor Lift Pass, as well as the lift pass of each student assigned to that instructor.

Common Class Type Association: The most commonly used action type for the creation of all new classes at resorts that are not equipped with GPS Tracking Hardware. Used for Adult and Kids Class Types at these resort operations to generate accurate class lists within Class Management without the need to scan GPS Tracking Devices. Use this when you need to track no one.

Tag and Pass

Create a class and scan everyone's tags and passes (instructor and students)

Description: This action type will allow the user to create and submit a new class to Class Management which will require the capture of the Instructor Lift Pass and a GPS Tracker, as well as the Pass and Allocated GPS Tracker of each student assigned to that instructor.

Common Class Type Association: The most commonly used action type for Class Types associated to Kids Lessons at resort operations which are equipped with GPS Tracking Hardware. Allows the resort to generate accurate class lists within class management with a GPS tag association to each Instructor and Guest. Use this when you need to Track everyone.

Instructor Tag and Pass/ Student Pass Only

Create a class, scan the instructor's tag & pass, then scan all student passes.

Description: This action type will allow the user to create and submit a new class to Class Management which will require the capture of the Instructor Lift Pass and a GPS Tracker, as well as the lift pass only of each guest assigned to that instructor.

Common Class Type Association: Commonly used by resort operations which are equipped with GPS Tracking Hardware to capture Adult Lessons where it is necessary to track the instructor, but not each guest, while allowing the user to scan the guest lift pass to create a class list in Class Management. Use this when only tracking the instructor is necessary

Instructor Tag and Pass/ Student Tag Only

Create a class, scan the instructor's tag & pass, then scan all student tags.

Description: This action type will allow the user to create and submit a new class to Class Management which will require the capture of the Instructor Lift Pass and a GPS Tracker, as well as a GPS tracker for each student assigned to that instructor. Use this when Guest information are not important.

Common Class Type Association: Commonly used by resort operations which are equipped with GPS Tracking Hardware which offer school groups or other special programs, or in instances where used lift passes are not tied to an individual. This allows the User to associate a GPS tracker to a student to be able to track them in the instance of a separation, but are not worried about individual guest information.

Instructor Pass Only/ No Students

Create a task and scan the instructor’s pass.

Description: This action type will allow the user to create and submit a new class to Class Management which will require the capture of only the Instructor Lift Pass media; The user will not be prompted to capture any details relating to the guest(s) assigned to that instructor.

Common Class Type Association: Commonly used by resort operations that are not equipped with GPS Tracking Hardware to capture class details associated with a specific lesson and the Instructor, but does not provide guest information. Use this when there is no need to assign a GPS tracker to an instructor and it is not necessary to capture guest information.

Add Students -

Pass Only

Add students to an existing class by scanning their pass and the pass of the instructor in which class you wish to scan them into.

Description: This action type will allow you to add a new student to an existing class in class management. The user will be prompted to scan either the pass or tag of the instructor of the class which you wish to add a late student to. You will then be prompted to scan the student lift pass. No GPS Device association will be required.

Common Class Type Association: Commonly used to add late students to Adult Lessons, or other Lesson types where it is not necessary to track Guests.

Pass and Tag

Add students to an existing class by scanning their pass and tag and the pass of the instructor in which class you wish to scan them into.

Description: This action type will allow you to add a new student to an existing class in class management. The user will be prompted to scan either the pass or tag of the instructor of the class to which you wish to add a late student to. You will then be prompted to scan the student lift pass and GPS Device.

Common Class Type Association: Commonly used to add late students to Kids Lessons, or other Lesson types where it is necessary to track Guests.

*Note: "Add Student" will use newly implemented logic to add a new student to an existing class in Class Management. When using the Add Student Functionality, it will not be necessary to associate any specific "Class Type" to the Scanning mode Button as is generally required. This is due to the fact that the system logic will associate the new student to an existing Instructor class. We have alleviated the need to input redundant information that is already known to the system. When adding a student, you will follow the prompts that appear at the top of the scanner interface.

Add Tag to Person (Tag and Pass)

Description: This action type will allow the user to add a GPS Device association to an Individual who does not currently have a GPS Device assignee d to them.

Common Class Type Association: This newly implemented action type will allow a tag to be associated to an instructor that is teaching an Assigned or Requested Private that is generated by the point of sale and automatically populates class management.

Note: "Class Split" will allow the user to create a new class from an existing class in class management. "Class Split" works off of the logic that the Students will have had a GPS device Associated to them in the system, so when moving them from an existing class to a new class to create the split, it will only be necessary to scan either the lift pass or the tag of the student, not both. it will require you to provide class detail information for the new class that will be created in Class Management, as we assume when you are splitting a class, you are either moving the guests up or down in ability.

Class Split (Pass or Tag)

Description: This action type allows the user to remove guests or instructors from existing class in class management and place them in a newly formed class that will populate class management. This is used when a student or instructor is attached to one class, say a level 2, but after an assessment it is necessary to bump a couple of students up tp level 3.

Common Class Type Associations: You will want to be able to Split and Class that is created with an "Add Class" functionality. To protect screen real estate, you can separate the Class Splits out by Kids AM, Kids PM, Adults AM, Adults PM, Programs, etc.

Note: "Pass to Tag" has replaced the Master Class Functionality. You will use Pass to Tag to create general attendance pools for guests and instructors as desired. this functionality could be used to capture an attendance scan of your guests as they arrive, prior to placing them in a class, and could help identify guests who may have been missed in the class scans when forming classes. Additionally this could be used to take instructor attendance or assign auxiliary tasks to large numbers of staff.

Pass to tag Association

Description: Resort Operations can utilize this action type to capture a general pool of guests or instructors with no specific detail aside from an attendance inventory. This action type can be used generally from the hardcoded button on the app landing page, or you can include Pass to tag Functionality in Specific Scan Modes as needed.

Common Class Type Associations: This is pretty flexible functionality and could be used to handle a number of use cases.

Non Teaching -

Add Non Teaching Task to Instructors

Create a non-teaching task, scan the instructor's pass, and the task will generate on the instructor's schedule.
