Overview

Within flaik, Paid Activities are used to create timesheet entries in Timekeeping based on associated Tasks or Training Clinic Categories which must be paid.
Paid Activities Overview
The Paid Activities you create do not need to mirror your Tasks or Training Clinic Categories one-to-one. You can associate multiple Tasks & Training Clinic Categories to one Paid Activity if the following fields are the same:
Pay Wage Type - This determines which hourly wage from the Employment Profile (Teaching, Non-Teaching, Training or Private Request) is applied.
Payroll Export Settings - These are activated to support your payroll export file requirements. You will only see them if they are required by your accounting system

For example, if you have multiple Indoor Support related Tasks that are all paid a non-teaching wage, all have the same incentive rules, and all have the same payroll export settings, you can associate all of those Indoor Support related Tasks to a single Paid Activity, "Indoor Support".
You may want multiple Paid Activities that do share the same Pay Wage Type, Incentives, and Payroll export settings, but have different titles. One reason for this may be that you want to track how many hours a specific Task (or Training Clinic Category) was paid over a specific time period for more granular reporting. For example, if you want individual statistics for your Setup and Takedown tasks, create separate Setup and Takedown paid activities.
The image below shows the view while associating Paid Activities to Tasks. Note that there are several non-teaching tasks associated to just two different paid activities - 'Admin' and 'End Of Day Duties'.

Another factor in deciding how many Paid Activities you may want to create is the view that supervisors can see on mobile. For example, you might want to have more paid activities if you want to see a more detailed title than "Indoor Support", for example, "Indoor Support - Rentals".
Users on desktop on a computer are able to easily view the associated Task or Training Clinic Category, but this level of detail is not visible in the Mobile View. Below is the level of detail your Supervisors will see in Timekeeping Mobile View.
