flaik Smart Charging Dock

The HW 3002 flaik Smart Dock is used to charge flaik GPS Tags. Each dock is equipped with 25 cups which allow a tag to be docked in each. Additionally, each cup is equipped with an LED which, when occupied, will mirror the LED of the tag docked in that cup. This allows the user to get a quick visual confirmation of the status of all the tags placed in that dock charger.

Generally, it is a best practice to dock the tags from the back row to the front, allowing the straps to cascade over the back of the dock. Not only does this allow the user to more easily see the Dock LED indicators, but it makes stacking loaded docks easier, as it creates a flatter, less bouncy, surface. When stacking loaded docks, it is necessary to alternate the orientation of the docks so that the stack is more stable

I often see instances where someone has flipped all of the straps forward, so that they hang down over the front. This makes handling tags more difficult, so I would advise against developing this habit.

The Docks Main PCB is equipped with a port to allow for a normal DC cable to be plugged directly into the back of the dock, as well as an electrical contact which protrudes from the side of the dock. This contact allows the dock to be used with a compatible accessory Hot Dock. Instead of plugging the DC cable into the dock, you connect it to the Hot Dock.

Each Smart Dock will come with a power supply and power cord to provide power, as well as an accessory Hot Dock.
