Copy, paste, & duplicate tasks
Tasks view has a few options for letting you apply the same tasks to other staff, or even duplicate a staff member's schedule to other days of the season.
In this article, we will cover:
Copying & pasting tasks
You can copy single or multiple tasks from one staff member to another via the Copy tasks feature. The video at the end of this section shows how to assign a task to an instructor and then copy it down to multiple instructors. If you'd like to try it out for yourself, follow these steps:
Click Edit schedule in the action panel on the right.

Highlight one instructor whose tasks you would like to copy by clicking the box to the left of their name.

Once highlighted, click the Copy staff data button on the right side of the page.

A pop-up menu will appear. Select the tasks you would like to copy from the highlighted instructor's schedule.
There are two check boxes asking about copying the shift and whether to overwrite existing tasks or not. You can select either, neither, or both:
Override existing shift and replace with [shift]: This will copy the shift type of the highlighted instructor over to the recipient instructor, even if the recipient instructor's shift is locked due to existing tasks. Select if you would like to change the recipient's shift, don't select if you'd like them to retain their original shift.
Clear existing tasks and replace with selected tasks: If selected this will clear all assignments from the recipient instructor before pasting the selected tasks, even if the existing tasks don't conflict with the copied tasks. If not selected, the copied tasks will be added to the existing tasks.
Once you have chosen the tasks you wish to copy, click "Next."

Highlight all the staff you would like to copy the chosen tasks to.

Click Paste.
If your changes look good, click Save & Publish.

Duplicating across days
In Tasks view, you may have access to the duplicate across days function. This tool is quite powerful, as it lets you use one day as a template and duplicate its schedule over to other days in the season - up to 30 days at a time.
Because the duplicate across days feature can create a substantial amount of scheduling changes at once, your school may have limited who can access it. If you don't see the button, get in touch with your school's leadership team to double-check your permissions.
To get started,
Select the staff member whose schedule you'd like to copy across to other days
Click the Duplicate across days button on the right-hand side
A full-screen menu will appear. Use the date picker to select the days you'd like to duplicate the schedule to (up to 30 days.)
Once you've got the dates picked out, hit Next.
The conflict summary screen will appear.
Heads up: The changes you can make with the duplicate across days feature will not be reflected in the scheduling change history. This may make it difficult to trace back your changes and undo them. Only proceed if you're certain that the schedule you're duplicating is appropriate.
Once you've reviewed the conflict summary, hit Save if you'd like to duplicate the schedule across to the dates you selected.
In the following video, we'll show you how to duplicate a standard schedule (i.e. a Sunday with a setup task, and a morning and afternoon lesson) across all other Sundays in the season. There is some audio on the video as well to talk you through the steps that you're seeing on the screen.
