Flashing Tags - The BIST Error (Built in Self Test)

Anytime a tag is powered on or placed back on a dock after being used, the tag will automatically perform a diagnostic test, known as a Built-in Self-Test, or BIST. If a tag fails this diagnostic test, it will revert to a failed state, as made apparent by a rapid succession of red flashes interrupted by intermittent pink flashes (and audible tones when the tag is undocked). These pink flashes and tones are "Error Message" tones meant to inform the user of the issue.

Reference the chart below to diagnose tags that have failed BIST. When a BIST is encountered, attempt to reset the Tag to resolve the issue.
